Do you want your own piece of Frio River heaven? Well this is it! This part of the river in Leakey is beautiful. The property overlooks a unique bend in the river that has a little something for everyone. There is shallow water for the little ones and an 8ft deep swimming hole and rope swing. Even in the worst drought of 2009-2011, our swimming hole never went dry.
When you stay at The Frio House, you get all this amazing river without the crazy crowds like in Concan.
There are small rapids and tube chutes that are fun to take your tube down just 100ft from the property. Or take off from The Frio House and enjoy a short float down to the 337 crossing. If your group wants to do a long float, you can reach the put-in spot at the 1120 crossing in under 10 minutes and enjoy a great float to Happy Hollow or beyond.
Garner State Park and the put-in at the 1050 bridage is only about 12-13 minutes away.
And then when y'all are tired from the float & crowds, come home to your own private swimming hole. And then when you are worn out from swimming, pour a drink, listen to the running rapids, & watch the amazing sunset from your deck overlooking the Frio River & canyon valley.

A beautiful family home overlooking the beautiful water and the water depth was perfect, shallow spots and deep spots. Perfect for relaxing. “Everything worked out perfectly. We had small kids with us, so the swimming hole in the backyard was perfect for them. The adults even enjoyed it! There were shallow and deep areas. At night, it was nice sitting on the big deck and listening to nature. We saw small deer many times. The main house was great for coming together for breakfast and dinner. I can’t wait to go back!."
